What to do in Courchevel

Courchevel is world-famous for its ski instruction and luxury in the heart of the Three Valleys, but there is so much more to experience off the slopes. Aquamotion Courchevel

Europe’s largest mountain waterpark, Aquamotion, is a must-visit. Families can enjoy pools, slides, and a surf wave, while adults can retreat to the wellness area with saunas, hammams, and saltwater baths. It is an ideal way to unwind after a day with your ski instructor on the slopes.

Sledging in Courchevel

For pure fun, the toboggan run from Courchevel 1850 down to Courchevel Village (1550) is a highlight. The 2.3 km descent is floodlit in the evenings, with plenty of twists and turns to keep both children and adults entertained.

Snowmobiling in Méribel

If you are craving an adrenaline rush, snowmobiling is an unmissable experience. Guided tours take you across ridges and trails, with packages tailored to all skill levels. Children from 5 years old can even ride their own mini track.

Indoor climbing wall

Inside the Olympic Sports Centre, right next to the ski lifts, you will find a 14-metre artificial climbing wall. Open daily throughout the season, it welcomes adults and children from six years upwards. Experienced climbers with insurance can access freely, while beginners can book a two-hour session with the Bureau des Guides de Méribel to learn the basics or improve their climbing technique.

Mission Black Forest sled run

One of Méribel’s most exciting attractions, Mission Black Forest is a 3.4 km sled run descending 470 metres with 28 thrilling corners. The ride takes you through the magical Arbin forest, where you will encounter playful creatures and games along the way. Minimum height: 1.40 m. The start point is at the Tougnète gondola.

Meribel is the heart of the Three Valleys. Les Trois Vallées gives access to over 600km of piste and almost unlimited off-piste terrain. Nestled in the Les Allues Valley, Meribel is at the heart of the world’s largest ski area. The resort has been popular with British skiers since it was founded by Colonel Peter Lindsay, with the first lift opening above Les Allues in 1938. Meribel boasts attractive traditional chalet architecture, which makes it a stunning ski in ski out location, with a varied selection of accommodation to suit a variety of budgets and tastes. Lovely little sun trap hidden away in the depths of the forest. The off-piste tracks in and out make it quite an adventure. You can walk, ski or cross-country ski to this idilic spot to, or you can also take the magical horse and sleigh to and from the main road on the Altiport.
