Terms & Conditions Lara Ski

Terms & Conditions

 

These Terms & Conditions apply to all ski lessons and services provided by LaraSki, Lara Crisp (“the Instructor”) to the client (“the Client”). By booking a lesson, the Client agrees to the following terms:

 

1. Reservations & Payment

 

1.1. To confirm a reservation, full payment must be made within 7 days of the invoice date, unless otherwise agreed in writing.

1.2. Where a deposit arrangement has been agreed, the balance must be paid no later than 28 days before the first lesson.

1.3. If payment is not received by the due date, the Instructor reserves the right to cancel the booking without notice.

 

2. Cancellations by the Client

 

2.1. In the event of cancellation by the Client, for any reason, refunds will be issued as follows:

• More than 28 days before the lesson: 70% of the lesson price refunded.

• Between 10 and 27 days before the lesson: 50% of the lesson price refunded.

• 10 days or less before the lesson: No refund.

2.2. All cancellation requests must be made in writing (email is acceptable).

2.3. No refund will be given for missed lessons, late arrivals, or unused sessions.

 

3. Cancellations by the Instructor

 

3.1. In the unlikely event that the Instructor must cancel a lesson, the Client will be offered either:

• a full refund, or

• an alternative date (subject to availability). Or an alternative instructor.

3.2. The Instructor cannot be held liable for additional costs incurred by the Client (e.g. travel, accommodation).

 

4. Weather, Conditions & Safety

 

4.1. All lessons are subject to snow, weather, and slope conditions. The Instructor will make every effort to deliver the lesson as planned but cannot guarantee slope or lift availability.

4.2. The Instructor reserves the right to adapt, postpone, or cancel lessons if conditions compromise safety. (This is for off piste. If the resort shuts see point 7.)

4.3. Clients must follow all instructions given by the Instructor. The Instructor reserves the right to terminate a lesson if safety instructions are ignored, without refund.

 

5. Client Responsibilities

 

5.1. Clients must ensure they are physically fit and appropriately equipped for skiing.

5.2. Clients must inform the Instructor of any relevant medical conditions prior to the lesson.

5.3. All clients must hold appropriate travel insurance including winter sports, covering ski lessons, medical expenses, accidents, repatriation, and third-party liability.

5.4. The Instructor will not be held responsible for costs incurred due to a client’s lack of adequate insurance.

 

6. Liability

 

6.1. The Instructor holds all legally required professional qualifications in France and is covered by professional liability insurance (Responsabilité Civile Professionnelle).

6.2. Participation in ski lessons is at the Client’s own risk. Skiing is a hazardous sport and accidents may occur. The Instructor cannot be held responsible for injuries, accidents, loss, or damage to persons or property during lessons, except where caused by proven negligence on the part of the Instructor.

6.3. Clients (or their legal guardians, if minors) remain responsible for their own conduct and must respect slope safety rules and the Règles de Sécurité de la FFS/FIS at all times.

6.4. The Instructor reserves the right to terminate a lesson without refund if safety instructions are ignored or behaviour endangers others.

 

7. Force Majeure

 

7.1. The Instructor shall not be liable for failure to provide services due to events beyond their reasonable control, including but not limited to: extreme weather, lift closures, natural disasters, strikes, or government restrictions.

 

8. Governing Law

 

8.1. These Terms & Conditions are governed by the laws of France.

8.2. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the French courts.

9. Acceptance of Terms

 

9.1. By booking and paying for a lesson, the Client confirms acceptance of these Terms & 

Conditions.

Annexe : Règles de Sécurité de la FFS/FIS

 

In accordance with the rules established by the International Ski Federation (FIS) and the French Ski Federation (FFS), every skier and snowboarder must respect the following rules of conduct on the slopes:

1. Respect for others – Every skier/snowboarder must behave in such a way as not to endanger or prejudice others.

 

2. Control of speed and skiing – Every skier/snowboarder must control their speed and manner of skiing. They must adapt their speed to their ability, as well as to the terrain, snow, weather conditions, and the density of traffic.

3. Choice of direction – The skier/snowboarder coming from behind must stay clear of skiers in front at all times.

4. Overtaking – Overtaking may be done from above or below, from the right or left, but always at a distance that leaves the overtaken skier/snowboarder room for movement. They should not have to alter their cause due to an overtake. 

5. Entering and starting – A skier/snowboarder entering a slope or starting again after stopping must look uphill and downhill to make sure they can do so without danger to themselves or others.

6. Stopping on the slope – A skier/snowboarder must avoid stopping on narrow places or where visibility is restricted. Stop to the side. In case of a fall, move to clear the slope as quickly as possible.

7. Climbing and descending on foot – A skier/snowboarder climbing or descending on foot must keep to the side of the slope.

8. Respect for signs and markings – Every skier/snowboarder must respect all markings and signs.

9. Assistance – Any skier/snowboarder witnessing an accident is duty-bound to assist.

10. Identification – Any skier/snowboarder involved in or witness to an accident must exchange names and addresses.

Booking Summary (T&Cs)

• Full payment due within 7 days of invoice unless otherwise agreed.

• If paying a deposit, balance due 28 days before the first lesson.

• Cancellations:

• More than 28 days before lesson → 70% refund

• 10–27 days before lesson → 50% refund

• 10 days or less → no refund

• Clients must have valid winter sports insurance.

• Participation is at your own risk.
